Happy Birthday Phronia!

Our favorite little crawler is 1 year old! We just had a little family party. We spent the day playing. We went to Wal-mart to get some balloons and the to the cocoa bean for a cupcake. She picked out the turtle something one...? It looked Yummy! We had her favorite, Mac-n-cheese for dinner and then let her eat all she wanted of her cup-cake! She liked us singing to her. :) She got some great gifts, but her favorite thing was this little frog we got at the dollar store. Go Figure...She got the hang of opening presents, so Christmas, here we come!!! I can't believe that she is so old.

Halloween Time

Phronia was a lion this year...and I was anticipating her not letting us put on the head-piece since she pulls off anything that goes on her head these days. (my lovely bows I've spent so much time making:() But, she did great! We went to a little party at mikes work, and she had a blast crawling all over. Then we went to the ward trunk-o-treat. It was pretty fun! I made a paste out of cocoa powder and water for her nose...so if she ate it it would be ok! She kept her costume on all night. :) We even taught her to roar like a lion..."rahhr" She had a blast playing with the halloween candy all day. She had a piece in each fist at all times.

Where it all started...

Ok, so this doesn;t become just about Nia (darling that she is) I decided to include some pictures of some of my favorite times with Mike. We really do have so much fun together, even tho lately our nightly activity includes cuddling on the couch and watching episodes of house!

Here we go:
On our honeymoon we went to Orlando, Fl and one of the coolest things we did was go to Medieval Times. We had a blast. Mike remebers getting these drunk old guys all hyped up by standing up and leading cheers for our jouster! The food was yummy, the hats were awesome, and it was just fun to be dorks.

Our first apartment that I picked out while we were engaged and Mike was gone working for the summer. It was a basement and had very low ceilings and a random door leading to nowhere! (there used to be a stairway). We have some great memories from that apt. though...

At our wedding reception we were sneaking in some food and Cass caught us both making the same face at the same time...unintentionally! I really like this one!


We don't have pictures of all the fun times i remember, so note to self...take more pics together!

Cousin Connell

This past summer, both my sister and I flew home for my Grandma Woodwards Funeral. Our husbands unfortunately couldn't make it, but we had a really good time being widows together, and the one picture I have is of her cousin and her eating dinner. Don't they look like they're sharing a good joke?

Phronia's Getting Hair!!

yes, it is true. She was born with lots of hair, but lost it somehow. Now its so blonde you can't tell its there. But the other day she woke up from her nap with her hair flipped out on one side. It gave me the idea to do it all over her head...She posed so cute for the picture...

Cali Family!!

Some pictures of our stop in California on our way home from our summer travels! We had a blast...we stopped in Seaside to visit my sis and her family in MonteRay. We went to the aquarium and cannery row and had a blast. it was so pretty and nice to see the ocean. Aren't those jelly fish amazing?? It was super cool to see all the huge fish. We also got to visit Grandpa montez and Dolores...grandpa made us his famous tri-tip...yummy! Nia had fun hanging out @ Grandma's and liked her clothes hamper!

Jumpin Jumpin

So our friends let us borrow their jumper for the summer, and Nia LOVES it! It took her awhile to figure it out, but now she jumps like crazy. She cracks us up, she looks so funny hopping all over the place. It exhausts her, so its good right before a nap! She squeals and jabbers and has a lot of fun.
Today I was painting my toes while she was in it and I've painter hers before so she knew what it was...anyways, she put her foot out for me to paint! And once I held her foot she held it still so I could paint it! How does she know that?? Mike had perfect timing with the camera!

Zoo Time!

So a few weeks ago we went to the zoo and while we were there we were on the local 5-o-clock news! We were just looking at the polar bears and they asked if we would say something, and so we were on the news! They quoted us and showed a picture of us looking around I guess...one of our neighbors saw us and told us about it...I guess its one of the largest zoos. We had fun, and Nia really enjoyed it too, although it was a little hot. Mike convinced me to ride the camel, and I got the bright idea to have Nia come too. What a cool picture that would be! I am a little afraid of heights and it was so high! and a bumpy ride, so the whole time I was trying not to freak out and thinking why did I bring my baby on this huge animal?!?! It was fun though! And we have cool pictures! She doesn't look too thrilled though!

Nia

So an update! We moved last weekend from Tucson Az to Albuquerque New Mexico! We'll be here until the end of August. So far we really like it here. We live right next to wal-mart, it is literally in our back-yard! Super handy. So..I know its all about the pictures...so the first one is of nia watching her fav. baby signing time video. It teaches her how to sign words like eat, drink, water, more, and other handy things. She smiles and laughs and has so much fun with it! The next picture is of Nia helping mom pack...She did really well playing as I cleaned and packed. She was a little fussy last week though, and I found out friday night why..i was feeling her mouth to see if she had irritated gums and there was something inside! It turned out to be a tooth already broken through the surface! I was so proud of her and surprised. Its on the bottom. Then today I just noticed a second tooth barely under the surface. That should break through anytime! Wow, out of nowhere she has teeth! Shes also getting very close to crawling. She scoots around everywhere and has been getting up on her hands and knees and rocking, so anytime she will be everywhere!! We love our new apartment, its much nicer than our old ones...anyways, Nia loves the mirror in our bedroom. She was playing with it this morning and laughing and talking to herself!

Half A Year Old

So after I posted the last post I realized what day it was...the 9th! Nia's 6 month birthday! The time has flown by. I can't imagine life without her now, she gets to be more and more fun everyday! Happy Day to you Nia! We have an appointment to go get her pictures taken tomorrow. :)

Sunday Games

So anyone who knows us knows we are all about board games! Heres some pictures of Nia playing with the pieces...shes mostly satisfied if she can have a piece to chomp on. We most always have friends over to play with us...heres our buddy Kyle Thackery...hes been playing games with us for over a year now, and hes out here working in tucson for the summer as well. We unofficially dubbed him Nia's "godfather" so here he is giving Nia her first piggy-back ride. :) We also have a lot of friends out here, we like to get together with our babies...going from left to right they are: Jaxson,Trey, Kensie, Crue, Nia, Aubrey, and Addy. Aren't they all so cute? Oh, and Nia can now sit up all by herself...with a few falls, but shes getting there!
