Dora Dora Dora!
So-those of you who don't know-Nia LOVES Dora, boots, and most of the other characters. She watches it every morning on tv, and has a little dora house and the figurines of the characters. Its the toy she never gets sick of. They go with her everywhere, the bath, in the car, eat lunch with her, etc. we've had a few scares where she "lost" them, and of course they were sold out at walmart. But, she still has them! Anyways, its so cute that she has these little friends, and her imagination is so fun to see. Well, we live by the mall of america and the other day one of our friends called us to tell us that Dora was at the mall. Dora! So we rushed over, and we told her where we were going and she kept saying while she clapped "Yay, Dora!" When we walked in she was just grinning and so happy. We stood in line and she was anxious for it to be her turn (two little girls ran and cut in front of us, so she had to wait even LONGER, but what was I gonna do, run out and push them aside?? haha...that brings hilarious thoughts to mind. When we got up close she seemed to be thinking "hmmm, that doesn't really look like Dora, but she went along with it. She was a little shy, but "dora" was very cute and played along with her. You'll see in the video. I am so lame, but I really had to fight back tears. Not that I'm encouraging worshipping false idols or anything, or even trying to feed her obsession, but I just knew it was like a dream come true for her to see a live walking, talking Dora. We had a lot of fun at Nikelodeon Universe (the theme park in the middle of the mall) and she rode on the Thomas the Train, and the carousel. What a great time!

That's so cute! Aubrey loves the Mickey mouse clubhouse! Enjoy the last few weeks of the summer.
Ps
Aubrey had the same stroller but someone stole it. Was it you? Jk haha. Someone stole it in Tucson! );
That's so fun that you are MN! I love the MOA. I graduated in South St. Paul. I love your little patio garden and I sometimes wish it was all that simple for us! Gardening takes so much time!!! I can't believe how big Nia's gotten. She is adoreable! I hope all is going well for you guys. We will have to have a game night when you get back. Thanks for putting our button on your blog. :)
I am laughing so hard at this because I have had the honor of meeting the very figurines you speak of on multiple occasions. Hahaha, I can't stop laughing. Her face was hilarious. She just sits down and is like "ok now what?" hahahaha. Good stuff.
Very cute video! It took me forever to watch it with my dial-up, but it was all worth it. Especially to see the last of the video where Mike is recording the floor and you hear him say he got it on video. haha. Classic!
Dave M here. I love blogs. It is fun to see you guys even when we don't get too in person. Give Nia a hug for us all out here in Cali
Hey Em, I just have to share this with you. I was just showing Richard your latest pictures and I noticed that picture number one of Nia with her little smirky smile is identical to pic number 3 with Mike on the Carosel. That is so Mike in her smile, I thought it was so funny! Go back and look at it again! Love ya!
Oh my goodness! Nia is just too cute for words. That little smile of hers is contagious!
So so cute! I love how Nia just sits there like, "Ok, now what are we gonna do, Dora?" Lol! Fun times!
That's so fun for her!! I'm glad she was able to go and wasn't scared. She looks kind of big and intimidating. lol. I would go to the Mall of America growing up since we just lived across the state line in Wisconsin. That's fun!
