The Traveling Begins!

So Mike's flight left this morning at 6 a.m., meaning we had to leave at 4:30!! The girls were great, and Mae slept the entire time.! Nia kept up a super-cute conversation with me on the ride home about how Dadda's airplane wouldn't fall down because it had fast wheels. Not a bad conclusion, hey, I don't even understand how they stay up there! Luckily the girls slept till 9, i wish it would have been longer, but what can I do?? Mike and I didn't get to bed till 12:30, packing and he was studying for a licensing test he has to take in Oklahoma. He'll do that, then fly to Chicago to get that office started. So he'll be gone a week, but I am relieved that its conference weekend, it's hard and not fun taking the girls to church by myself. It does pass the time though. I just LOOOVE G.C. and always look forward to it. I remember growing up and planning in advance what crafts/activities I would do to pass the time. Now its like I just can't get enough of just listening/taking notes.

ANother key reason this trip will be better...Mom and Dad are coming!!!!! They'll be here only Fri/sat. I have to share them w/the rest of the family I guess. They want to meet Bub's new fiance, Lindsay, but lucky me gets to have them stay here. :) I love having them come visit.

I have been excited to get the stroller out only to have it snowed/rained on. We were able to get a few walks in last week though. The fresh air felt amazing! I really am excited for this summer.

Hopefully Mike won't have to travel much past april/may, but I'm afraid he'll be gone most of those 2 months....:( Ill make it through, but time sure drags by without my sweetest hubbie.

Mae started walking! She is so sweet to watch, I think I think of her as the baby all the time, without realizing just how fast she is growing up. last week she took her first steps. She can go quite a few now by herself, but still lacks the confidence/practice to go all over the place. She also learned to click her tongue and goes around all day doing it.

Nia as usual keeps us entertained with the things she'll say. Every day she wears a little dance leotard with a tutu that has a heart on it. She calls herself "heart". It's either that or Dora. She's still my little songbird and sings and dances all day long. Recently we've been cracking up about her new Princess voice, it's an over exaggerated falsetto/vibrato. You can tell she's trying really hard to sing pretty.

Oh...11 a.m. still sitting in my jammies...with Mike gone its like, why get ready?? That just leads to that blah feeling and no motivation, so I must try to get going here!!

The end.
P.S. I am super grateful that we are able to stay at home and don't have to move to some office somewhere this summer, that mike is able to fly from the airport just 30 miles away, and that I have the girls here to keep me company. Of her own accord, Nia told dad that she would help momma stay happy while he was gone. :)

Nia's first day of Primary. She turned 3 in december, meaning shes the youngest little sunbeam! She LOVES it though.

It's exhausting being a princess!!

Sheesh, I swear I posted on your blog already!! I totally thought I had, until I saw your comment on Marty's...hmmm...k, so I'm getting a little middle-aged and obviously have a bad memory. :) Anyway...so hubby's gone again. At least you have your girls to entertain you, but I know what it's like to not have daddy around a lot. I get exhausted when JayC is working his 4 12-hour shifts in a row and all we see him is like 2 or 3 hours a day. It stinks! But at least he's not in another state...sorry... You can always text me. :) And get some of those projects done! (Oh, and mom raved about your apple pie crust to me today!)
